What a concept hotel living is I tell ya. Living in a hotel for a long period of time can be very strange in many ways and extremely stressful when all you want is a permanent place to call yours. Well me on the other hand I very much enjoy having my own space and the whole thrill that comes with decorating your new place, but I also don't like to get tied down to any one particular place for too long either. In a way hotel living is great for me and in another way it is too detached, and way too non commital. I am a little bit of both; an adventurer along with a little bit of a sentimentalist. Recently I have been staying in a hotel and I ended up here because I ended my lease so that I could go travel and have no commitment to an apartment complex. I am now missing my old place a hell of a lot more than I then thought that I would, but I believe I made the right decision, because the things that you long for the most don't always happen right away. Sometimes you see everything going one way and the exact opposite ends up happening to you out of nowhere.
Positives:
1-Convenient
2-Cheap depending on the hotel
3-No bills
4-Room Service-this is great for those of you that don't like to clean
5-Valet-the cheaper hotels do not have this bonus, but unless you're extremely picky it shouldn't matter
6-Room Service-
7-Continental Breakfast-at the place I am at they have a complimentary Continental Breakfast in the morning and this is an awesome way of getting your day started
8-Security-this is great for people that need the extra protection for one reason or another, or for the type that like to feel safe, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this, the world is crazy!
9-Swimming pool, Sauna, Spa- these amentities are definitely spectacular after a long day and they are must haves, even on a budget you can find a place with at least a pool to unwind in, and you must because this plays a huge part in how your experience will play out
Negatives:
1-Cost-depending on what type of establishment you choose to stay at, there are places that are specifically live in type hotels and are made for mainly this purpose. These types of hotels can be hard to find at times, but you'll definitely find one or even more if you search hard enough.
2-No pets-this is the case at a large amount of hotels and it can be very stressful when presented with this predicament
3-Laundry- it can be quite difficult getting to the laundry mat if you are an extremely busy person, but many have to lug tons of laundry to the neighborhood laundry mat every week so this is part of life for many, but if you're used to having this part of your life being easy then you should definitely take into consideration the fact that there usually aren't laundry mats at the hotels but sometimes hotels do offer this so I would say look for one if this is a big deal to you
4-Lack of privacy- for some staying in a hotel can be quite annoying, especially if you are used to living in a house
5-Guests- Depending on how much you have people over or what type of person you are you
