Japan Town Adventures

Japantown, SF's gem
How awesome is San Francisco? It is one of the most awesome places in the United States in my opinion, but it's the details that make San Francisco what it is, and my favorite detail in SF is Japantown is its own little town and it is truly unique and amazing in its own traditional way. Outside of Japantown everything is built to look like traditional Japanese structures, all of the architecture is Japanese looking, and every single store is Japanese oriented. It actually feels like you're in a different world, and to top it off there is a really great movie theater as well called the Kabuki, and it's been there since I can remember as a child, and I'm now 22 so a good chunk of time that I know of at least. There are 2 large city blocks full of stores, one of the blocks is filled with outdoor city street stores with the Japanese theme, and then across the street there is a mall that is split into two buildings with a giant outdoor courtyard imbetween the two. Each of the malls are quite amazing they are both filled with tons of shops, but not just any American shop, they are heavily themed with Japanese appareal. There is an awesome indoor pond as well, that has a connecting fountain that can put you in a very relaxing zone if you close your eyes. It feels so safe here that you could almost forget that you are in a big city, this is what makes Japantown one of my favorite places to go. You can go to any of the restaurants here and walk out happy as a clam. You can't go wrong with any of the restaurants, and if you like crepes there's an awesome place in the mall that you must go to. They put whipped cream throughout the crepe and they make their crepes soft  not crispy or burnt in any way! I love how soft their crepes are, I have yet to go somewhere that offers it this way. I always get the Nutella, strawberry, banana, and whipped cream crepe here, but they also offer ice cream, yet I always pass because it tends to hurt my teeth a lot. I got Katsu Don Buri at my favorite Japanese restaurant where you can walk out spending under $25 for two people! Awesome huh? I'll post the name here when I find it. I highly recommend Japantown to anyone that wants to have a fun filled day in San Francisco without having to deal with rude neurotic psychopaths! The parking is fairly cheap and the people mind their own business, and the shops are fun and full of great goodies! There is even a $1.50 warehouse size store at the mall filled with Japanese goodies, it is addicting to shop here I have to say! I spent $150 here and walked out with 2 X-Large shopping bags full of goodies, I mean I was so carried away that the clerk was giggling the whole 10 minutes she was finalizing all of my purchases!! She thought I was just hilarious, and I have to admit I was laughing at myself as well. What can I say, I do it big most of the time or I don't bother at all. There's always the imbetweens in life though when you just do things in the middle/average, I mean I'm not a super freak, I'm just an average freak, lol.
